Boot felt as if she could run forever. Boot stopped, she felt a little hungry. Perfect timing, a mouse was slowly walking in front of the frozen Boot. Boot slowly walked to the slow mouse. Time for breakfast! Boot thought a second before she pounced and succeeded to bite into the flesh of the mouse before it could squeal. Once she finished eating the mouse, a rustling noise sounded behind her. Moonstream pounced on the small Boot. Boot quickly slashed back at Moonstream. Boot was surprised how strong Moonstream was, and said "Wait, are you a clan cat?" Moonstream tilted her head slightly. "Yeah, of course I am! Or else why would I be protecting my clan's territory from a kittypet, which usually isn't very hard" Moonstream meowed and started licking a wound on her shoulder. "You look young and thin for a kittypet" Moonstream said, studying Boot. "I heard about the clans and I wanted to see how its like to be a clan cat. But I guess I can't 'cause I'm a kittypet. I've been training for atleast 1 moon. But I guess I'll leave" Sighed Boot. "Wait, what's your name?" "Boot" She said. "I might be able to show you the camp. But don't expect a nice greeting from some of the cats" Moonstream said. They both walked in the direction of the camp. Swiftstar and a few other cats were at the entrance. Moonstream gave a weary glance starting from Boot then swinging her head to Swiftstar.

Earthpaw came bounding out of the apprentice den to skid to halt before her mentor, leader, and some random kittypet-smelling-cat. She glanced at the kittypet and brougt her small black nose forward for an expiramental sniff before turning back to her mentor.
"Moonstream, when can we go hunting? You promised you would take me today. And who's that? She smells like a kittypet. Why would you bring a kittypet to the camp? Is it really possible that a non-Clanborn cat can become a warrior?" Earthpaw dipped her head quickly to both her Clanmates as she spoke, showing the respect that had been pounded into her being for so long. She even gave the kittypet the slightest of acknowledging nods as she waited for her mentor to respond.

"We can go hunting soon, okay Earthpaw? I know I promised. This is Boot, yes I know she smells like a kittypet. I am pretty sure a non-clanborn cat has become a warrior or an apprentice or something in the clan before, besides Boot seems still young and pure. Unlike some kittypets we have seen..." Moonstream said, skipping the question 'Why would you bring a kittypet to the camp'.

Earthpaw raised an unseeable eyebrow then shrugged. "Okay, that's fine with me." She then turned her curious amber gaze upon the younger gray-brown tabby beside her mentor. "Why do you want to become a warrior? Don't your Twolegs miss you? Do you even know what it means to be a forest cat?"
As a thought popped into her little head, Earthpaw turned to her leader and asked, "Does this mean that she'll be an apprentice with the rest of us? Do you know who her mentor will be?"
((She's a rather curious cat.))

"I want to become a clan cat, not a warrior just yet. My housefolk wont care about me. They probably will get a new kittypet and forget I was ever there. I know what it means to be a forest cat. Fighting battles, catching prey, knowing that someone will care if you are hurt, frozen leaf-bares, blazing new-leaf. I want to be a forest cat so when I die, I won't die with twolegs, but with strong and brave cats. I want to know what it is like to be wild" Boot said, a icy-green fire in her eyes.

Earthpaw smiled warmly. "Well, as long as you know what you're getting into, I don't care." The young apprentice yawned, her long pink tongue curling up and her amber eyes squinting shut. "Oh, and I'm glad you think we're strong and brave cats."

"Well, any cat can be strong and brave if they know how" Boot sighed. She looked around. Not many things were moving around the place they were at. She sniffed the air. It was going to rain. "It's gonna rain" Boot meowed after a short silence. She looked around again. ((I was able to get back on! Yay mez! But I g2g again now))
